Children are natural learners. Their curiosity and thirst for knowledge motivates them to take everyday experiences and turn them into valuable (and educational) lessons.
A simple walk around the block can become a math lesson, as children count flowers that they see or how many steps it takes them to get from point A to point B. Snack time can turn into a hands-on math activity as kids add the number of grapes they have to the number of grapes a sibling has to determine how many they have altogether.
Following a child’s lead and building on their interests is a great way to encourage them as they learn more about the world and how things work.
